New GTA 6 Fan Map is a Lot Bigger than Los Santos From GTA 5

As another GTA 6 screenshot from last year’s hack does the rounds, a map using information from the same leak proves more intriguing.

If it wasn’t for the massive hacker scandal last year, we’d still know nothing whatsoever about GTA 6. But despite the huge amount of data that was stolen, there was surprisingly little real information and most of the screenshots weren’t very interesting – and were obviously from a very early build of the game.

Months later though and one of the best looking screenshots has been doing the rounds amongst fans, who are convinced it’s from a much more recent version of the game.

It’s not, but while we can’t show it here for legal reasons one thing that is arguably just as interesting is a new fan made map, based on the leake

d data and seeming to show that the map for GTA 6 will be much bigger than GTA 5.

Creating a map from the coordinates shown in various leaked screenshots is one of the first things fans did, but this latest one is more detailed and for the first time gives a hint at how far north the game map my go.

Although it’s never been confirmed by Rockstar, multiple sources, including the leaks, suggest that GTA 6 is set in Vice City, but while the main area of the city is based on Miami it’s unknown how much more of Florida it will include.

The new map was created by Redditor Tusstaster and according to him not only does it extend south of Vice City, with a series of islands, but also north as well – making it even larger than his map suggests.

Writing on Reddit, he claims that there are ‘countless cities/towns, such as York Town, Red Hill, etc. found in the files. Most of these locations point towards north of Port Gelhorn, making the map expand even further north.’

The map as it is, is already bigger than GTA 5 so if the real thing is bigger still you’ll be looking at the largest GTA map ever, which is probably no less than fans expect at this point.

It’s still a mystery as to when Rockstar will reveal anything official but the only hint about the game lately, that isn’t from the leak, is that they’re investing heavily in advanced new water physics technology, which would make sense if GTA 6 is going to feature a lot of islands to visit.
